SIA to move a fifth of A380 fleet to desert storage

Singapore Airlines (SIA) will shift four Airbus A380s to long-term storage at Alice Springs airport in central Australia. All 4 (SKT, SKW, SKY and SKZ) arrived within hours of each other on Sunday April 26 along with 2 more Scoot A320's, joining 2 more Scoot A320's and 3 SIA Boeing 777-200's already there. Also there are 6 SilkAir 737 Max 8's and 2 Fiji Max 8's. Alliance Airlines also have a Fokker 70 and Fokker 100 parked up there too.
