House Democrats try to claw back COVID aid from cargo airlines
Atlas Air, Kalitta Air, Amerijet and Western Global are in the crosshairs of a key House committee in Congress for taking COVID bailout money while earnings are rising. (www.freightwaves.com) More...Sort type: [Top] [Newest]
Good point. Kind of like Shake Shack taking PPP loan money and then returning it. And that was only $10 million or so.
Can’t say that I blame the Dems if the money was received by deception. There’s a whole whack of people out of work that could use that money and from what I see, cargo is doing just fine.
Maybe not deception, but taking advantage of program intended for those losing lots of money.
There's no deception. This is congress's fault (Dems and Reps) for passing another terrible piece of legislation that our grandchildren and great-grandchildren will have to pay for. And that makes it our fault for electing people to steal money from future generations and give it to us.
Judging by this generations’ thought process in dealing with a pandemic that started with 15 People and two B747’s full of at risk passengers brought into the USA improperly, I would say our generation did a piss poor job of teaching the younger ones about shared responsibility. You would think that just like a hot burner on stove you don’t touch it, 222,000 people in a morgue from Covid 19 would make them wear a simple mask? For all it’s smarts this is one dumb country! How many gave back their $1200 stimulus cheques because they didn’t need the money........why would you expect companies to act any different?
6% of that number were from SARS. 94% from cancer, heart and diabetes
The following quote from a well known Oncologist and opinions driven by facts by Cardiologists would not agree with you. I get the underlying illness however, after contracting Covid 19 the patients’ demise was accelerated! If you break your leg and three days later die from a blood clot, did your broken leg kill you?
'Outcomes reported for cancer patients and those with other chronic conditions appear to be worse from COVID-19 than it is for the general population. I think that’s clear.'

sorry for the double post quote.
I guess I'm a little happy they're going after them, but the reality is it's not a drop in the bucket, it's a drop in the ocean.
