Airport Workers To Challenge LAX’s Runway Expansion Plan
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Los Angeles International Airport workers represented by SEIU United Service Workers West Thursday are expected to file a California Environmental Quality Act challenge to the airport’s runway expansion plan. The lawsuit names Los Angeles World Airports, the city of Los Angeles and Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa as defendants, alleging LAWA and city officials failed to conduct the necessary analysis required to assess the project’s environmental impact. We are expert floor sweepers and cafeteria workers and that makes us experts at Envirowhackism and Airport Management. Therefore we demand concessions to the union leadership (screw the little people) or we will turn out all our purple shirted thugs to disrupt the place and file frivolous lawsuits to run up the costs.
I don't think anyone honestly believes that they are concerned about the environmental impact of the runway relocation -- the SEIU just wants to be paid off, it's a simple extortion racket.
Hmmmm, I wonder if RICO can be applied to unions...

They are in California remember.
Nothing like shooting yourself in BOTH feet before you pop them in your mouth. I bet the lawyers are loving this. Do unions employ their own teams of lawyers or are they outsourced?
They complain about air quality by the airport, yet they have no problem being employed there and accepting a paycheck from them. Don't they have a tree to hug, bunch of liberals?
You got that right.
