I worked boeng 727 and boeing 737..i also worked a lot of md 80s and the dc 10, and even the fokker airplanes and an occasional "twin otter" and embraer..I have good and bad memories of all of those airplanes..i wonder if aa is wishing they had not put the md 80's out of service considering the issues with the 737 max...

As a passenger, I never did care for the MD-8X. I have always preferred the Boeings.
