Airbus A320 (N654AW)
This is the FOD created from N654AW (Flight 403 PHX-SFO) on 6/13/16. The A320 lost both right and left side engine doors.

I hope you have a few details about this one forthcoming.
Tim, All I could find out is that there was either a failure of the locking system or someone did not check the latches during their walk around. They blew off at rotation and were seen by a Southwest plane that had lined up and waited. N654AW flew out fine and landed without incident. They did roll the crash trucks juts in case there was some other damage when the parts left the plane. The captain has the members of operations take picture and send it to them when they landed. (Yes, I listen to a scanner when I spot.)
There is a technical advisory about this from Airbus and is a known problem on the A320 family of aircraft.

Which engine type does it affect?
Sorry I am not sure what engines AA has on their 320s.
Roy, I don't know if it matters about the engines or if it just the class of frames. This plane has IAE V2527-A5 installed.

Yeah, I heard about this, but I didn't know anyone got a shot of the engine covers. I guess it is good that they didn't separate later on and possibly injure someone. Nice job, Scot!
