United gets DOT OK for San Francisco-Chengdu route

United Airlines has won U.S. approval for new nonstop flights between San Francisco and Chengdu, China, and is now awaiting a decision from the Chinese government. The U.S. Department of Transportation on Friday gave the go-ahead for flights that would begin in June. United plans three flights a week using Boeing's new 787 jet. (www.usatoday.com) More...
