the corporate credo of cut, cut, slash when considering overhaul costs, mechanics hours, gives far too much belief in the competency of federal regulators ( FAA- the missing regulatory agency that deals with airplanes and pilots and passengers) and the conscience of the MRO industry, in particular the offshore MRO operations. Inspectors always find things that need to be fixed, tightened, removed or replaced, and some of those things are flight critical. And accident preventitive....
